Fall 2015

I set seasonal resolutions as opposed to new year’s resolutions, and Summer was a time for me to really focus on the technology behind CiderConnoisseur.com, the overall direction the site is going, and the foundation to ensure we get there.

There have been several behind the scenes improvements made to the website. Mostly very small things that most users won’t notice but that I hope will make their experience more enjoyable on the site.

Now, for the Fall, I’d like to go back to focusing on what this project is all about: BOOZE!!!! Cider. 🙂

My goal is to post one new review every week! It’s a stretch but I’m going to give it an honest try.

I’m also looking to grow the Events sections, and hopefully attend a few events in the near future.

The Cideries & Breweries section is also going to start receiving some content as I’ve paid a visit to a local cidery and can’t wait to share my experience with you all.

Last but not least, I’ve received messages from readers thanking me for not having ads all over the site. At the moment, this website is an out of pocket expense for me, it’s my gift to myself (since now I have an excuse to drink), and to you if you enjoy my musings here. Having said that, I’m thinking of creative ways I may start monetizing without compromising the quality of the site. One idea is through one on one partnerships for non-intrusive advertising, as well as opening up a store section of the site where we’ll see all kinds of goodies. What do you think? I’d love to hear your feedback.

With that, I bid you farewell for now! Grab a friend or a loved one and enjoy a cider this weekend.
